We are where we are thanks to the efforts of our caring staff.

We are immensely proud of the level of support they afford our clients and, with the help of a rigorous selection process and a programme of ongoing training, we do our utmost to ensure this quality is maintained..

The Interview

Each candidate is interviewed by a member of our management team to ensure that they have not only the experience but also the aptitude for the job. It’s important to Leda Homecare that we only take on care workers with naturally friendly, respectful and warm personalities because we know that they will be representing us in your home.

Background Checks

We gather references from previous employers, confirm their identities and conduct Police / CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checks, all in accordance with our strict recruitment guidelines.

Qualifications and Ongoing Training

Mandatory training takes place throughout the induction process and includes introductions to Health and Safety, Infection Control and Moving and Handling Practices. Each new staff member is supervised by an experienced staff member for a number of days out in the community to ensure that the practical application of Leda’s procedures are being followed and that each new carer is supported and comfortable in their role.

Currently 70 % of our team have or are working towards a minimum of a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care. Each of our staff members are encouraged to attend regular training sessions which include:

•    Dementia
•    Stroke Awareness
•    Falls Safety
•    Diet and Nutrition and Many Others

We go to great lengths to ensure that all our carer’s are qualified, competent and supported. We also feel that it is important for our office staff and management to have the same caring qualities. So no matter whether you are calling for information, advice or to enquire about care, you will find that your needs come first in our organisation.
